November 14th, 2017 - Exonerated

from Daily Briefs by NOMAD Hip Hop

lyrics

We up and wasted 2 fuckin days on the obvious
Discomfort plagued like the conversation bothered us
Unmoderated, a complicated topic
In a lotta ways, I thought it made it harder
And caused a lotta pain,

It was an observation
I saw a statement on a stage, then again on a friend’s page
And lost my patience

You can see the wrong thing at the wrong time
And let a thought escape
Like an exonerated rapist

There’s a lot of hate, and a lot of lost crusaders
Trolls raking coals, poking, prodding flames

There are people who I maybe shouldn’t mention
Even tho the path to hell was paved with good intentions

I lost a couple “friends,”
Blocked some of their henchmen
I was positive, couldn’t moderate consensus
A lot of negative postulated sentences
awkward made references, impetuous
